How long do they leave the Halloween decorations up? We visited many times in October, but back then they didn't decorate for Halloween. I would love to see the decorations, but because of my job I have to selective when I take off.

There really isn't much. A few things when you enter MK and a few wreaths around the park. There is more on party night but not a ton.

They go up in September and come down immediately following the last MNSSHP.

The whole park may not be decked out, but it is a very nice transformation for fall. A large display when you pass under the train station, wreaths up and down Main Street, buntings hanging from the buildings. The character statues are different in the hub, I know there were huge pumpkins in Liberty Square, etc.

Halloween is my favorite holiday/time of year, so we took a trip last year especially to see the decorations.

The Halloween decorations are nothing like those for Christmas. The entrance planter gets done in Fall colors/pumpkins, and they have fall swag up on the Main Street lampposts. They also have the pumpkin men/women up in the planters right after you go under the train station. They then plus that some for MNSSHP, but that is mostly lighting, sound effects, music, etc. Definitely worth seeing, but unless you go to the party, it really is nothing that far over the top.

I went one year on halloween ( I think two years ago, october 2010 or 2009) and there weren't many decorations (giant mickey pumpkin in toontown and wreaths etc...) but MNSSHP was so much fun! I really had so much fun, all the characters were dressed up for halloween in their costumes. It was cute, and I being 13 at the time and it still being acceptable for me to trick or treat (okay who am I kidding, I still trick or treat) I got so much candy. I would really recommend it to anyone of any age it's such a fun time.

I am glad you had a great time and enjoyed treat or treating and got lots of candy. I love candy. Enjoy being young and doing kid things. No one is ever too old at Disney to not be a kid.

I don't like to Trick or Treat. I don't dress up.

Still like MNSSHP, though.

...This doesn't usually happen when I talk about it, but now I have "A Boo to you" going through my head. Arrrgh!
