Since they are going up in WDW, I was hoping for the same at DL. I would assume the schedules are pretty close, tight?

Disneyland and DCA have a lot more decorations to put up for HalloweenTime than WDW does. But they wait for the public installation of the decor until the day after Labor Day. The Disneyland Half-Marathon is this weekend, so that's a busy time for the Resort anyway.

What they did start on this week was the transformation of Haunted Mansion into Haunted Mansion Holiday that opens September 17th. That's a big job to decorate the mansion inside and out, and change out the ride show inside and add new animatronics and props. It's a total transformation, and it takes two weeks;

HalloweenTime at the Disneyland Resort this year runs from September 17th until October 31st (Dia De Los Muertos decorations in Frontierland remain operating through November 2nd, per Mexican tradition)

Decorations are quite different than WDW. Awesome pictures.

Planning my first trip to Disneyland in close to 12 years. I'll be there early October. Should be very interesting and something different from WDW from what I remember during my October 2007 visit.

Wow, yes I agree, there decoration are quite different than WDW. I do love WDW Halloween decor tho. I went last year and took tons of pictures! It would be nice to go to both WDW and DL to see how the differences. Specially all the Nightmare before Christmas stuff. =)

DCA used to get in on the Halloween decorating act too, with a more modern candy corn theme...

But the bulldozers move in to that area of DCA just after Labor Day this year, and by October it will be a heavy construction zone to turn it into the new Buena Vista Street main entrance complex.

So they probably won't be doing much Halloween stuff in DCA for 2010 and 2011. It will be all about Disneyland at Halloween short-term while DCA is under the knife for its extreme makeover.

Someone once posted that the Candy Corn halloween decorations would be a perfect fit for a bug's land. Since Sunshine Plaza won't be around anymore I think it'd be a good idea to move the giant candy corns to Flik's Fun Faire. Heimlich already makes an appearance inside the candy corn so you can say it's already bug's life themed ;)

At one point they had these performers at ToT for Halloween Time,

My favorite new thing for HalloweenTime? Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy.

I enjoyed the exterior dome shows they digitally project on to Space Mountain the most. Although the interior ghost ride is fun too.

This is my favorite of the shows they do, when the ghost inside is trying to break out of Space Mountain and eventually he collapses the entire dome! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_7MtapsZUs&feature=related
