Hallmark Disney Ornaments

It's been a busy summer and I didn't get to a Hallmark store to start planning my Christmas ornament shopping strategy for this year until yesterday. Well my must get ornament is Rapunzel swinging a frying pan. Do you have a favorite Disney Hallmark ornament or is there one this year that's a must get?

We always get most of our Disney ornaments at WDW, every trip DW buy a couple. At the hallmark store DW doesn't limit her purchases to just Disney ornaments. DS is a Curious George nut, he has been since he was little, if we see one we buy it, period. DW will also get an ornament for me once in a while. last year it was the John Wayne/Rio Bravo ornament. Our family will usually check out the ornaments around the holidays and see if there are any new ones we like. We haven't seen any ornaments in our local Hall Mark store yet but they will be there soon.

Funny , I was at The local Mall this weekend and saw that Hallmark was advertising the ornaments ..didnt get in to look but was curious as to what was new this year.
We Love Disney Ornaments and spend at Least 5 hours a Trip at The Xmas shop downtown. This year we are gonna try to get a Disney Tree Skirt and maybe a Tink tree topper.

Usually I wait until the day after Christmas in hopes of finding the ornaments I want at 50% off.

The Cinderella castle ornament is my must get ornament..While it's more about promoting the movie. For WDW fans it plays a version of when you wish upon a star from the MK's Front Gate loop and fireworks are going on while the castle glows....So technically it would be a WDW ornament in my book..

Hmm, I don't think I have any from Hallmark. Most of my Disney ones are from the parks. I have some Mickey's Christmas Carol ones from Avon from way back in the day when my mom sold Avon. Probably the late 80s, early 90s.
I used to collect the Garfield Hallmark ornaments with a year on them. I think the last one I got was in '96.

They started advertising the upcoming 2013 ornament collection like in APRIL. My mom got a catalog months and months ago. Then they start selling them as of late June or early July.

Funny you should mention this - especially Rapunzel .

One would THINK that Disney itself would capitalize on all this - or at least start stocking approved ornaments in the parks. They do not. Sandy and I had to FIGHT to get a Rapunzel ornament of any sort, within the WDW boundaries.

This always amazes me... WDW is usually hungry for cash, yet they continue to pass up really GOOD marketing opportunities.

I was sooooooooooo mad I couldn't find a Rapunzel ornament in June. I asked at the Christmas shops in both MK, HS and DTD!
