Hair Straightening at WDW

My wife has been begging me to ask this question so out of fear of being in the dog house I am finally relenting. Here goes...
We plan on being at The World for the last week of October and want to dress up for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party,my wife wants to dress up as Pocahontas the only problem being that she has very curly hair and in order for her to be a believable Pocahontas she will need to have her hair straightened. She wants to have it done the day we go to MNSSHP so my(her)question is this...where can she go(if anywhere)at Disney World to have her hair straightened? I know this is a pretty obscure question but I promised her I would ask(you can tell by looking at my Avatar or our picture on my profile that hair straightening is something I will never have to worry about...well...I DO have chest hair,hmmm....). Anyway, can you guys help? I know we have plenty of time until then and this question could have waited(and waited, and waited, and waited,and...)but my wife likes to plan ahead. Thanks for humoring me(her).

Tell her to buy a straitening Iron..They work wonders and are pretty cheap...I think a few hotels on property may have salons but that will be costly if they do it at all...:)

I am not sure about the other resorts but the Grand Floridian has a hair salon she could probably make an appointment to have her hair blow dried straight (I have it done sometimes because it looks alot nicer when a professional does it and it lasts longer) but as maggiegrace1 mentioned it might be costly but I understand her wanting to plan ahead because I am the same way especially when it comes to my hair  . Good Luck!

there is also a hair salon at Beach Club. I have never used the service but have heard they are pretty good there. I suggest a straightening iron too. Not to hard to pack, and you can use it over and over.

I think hair straightener is the way to go! I bought mine for 30 bucks from Marshalls and it's amazing. Plus it's more bang for your buck.

My DH has gotten his hair cut twice at the Y&B Club Salon. When we were there this past Xmas season, they were working on a wedding party. I would make an appointment if you are panning to go that route. I'm not sure of the name of the place but I'm sure if you call the Y&B desk they can help you.

It might be humid in October and no matter how much we try our curly hair will sneak back, beware. A ceramic straightner is the best, buy one now and ask her to try it out, see if it works for her. Good luck!

Would she consider just wearing a wig?

I too have very curly hair and can't seem to get it to straighten on my own. However, each year that we have been to the MNSSHP it was rained (or at least sprinkled). This will surely cause straightened hair to curly up. I think the only solution for that would be a wig.
