Had to dip into WDW fund

Fund was starting well as trip to WDW not until next November but today needed an eye test and have to have new glasses, way more expensive than I was expecting and have had to take some money out of the WDW Fund, did not want to do that, just have to save that bit harder!

I am sorry to hear this but the up side is that you have lots of time to save, save, save. I gave up all coffee, lunch out and cable TV to put aside money for my trip in April 2015. I miss coffee every day but the other two I don't miss at all. Good luck saving and hey, at least you can see properly now!

We'e had the same thing happen, unexpected (and unwelcome) expenses have occurred which meant dipping into our WDW fund, but its not going to stop us. We're even more determined now, come hell or high water, we'll be on that plane in November...

Are you employed? If so, see if your employer has flex spending so this way you are covered for emergencies and won't have to dip into those precious Disney savings.

BOOO... I hate it when life steps in and throws an unexpected catastrophe at us. Especially when we have to rob the Disney fund!!

Look at it as a part of trip improvement....having the new glasses you'll be able to SEE Disney better !!

Thanks for the replies, feeling better today, just wasn't happy having to use some of the Disney fund for glasses, but will get back on track and yes hadn't thought that I will have new glasses for next year to see Disney better!!
