So with all the new after hour events being thrown out now, and all of them are completely worth it btw, I decided to try out the three hours of water park splendor at Typhoon Lagoon.

First off I decided to take the bus since I didn’t want anything in my pockets for the wave pool and you really only need you Magic Band for everything I thought it was a good idea.

Not...

If you take the bus be aware the bus does not take you from your resort to TL, it takes you to Disney Springs and from Disney Springs to catch a transfer bus to TL. Also you get dropped off right in front of DS and have to walk quite a way to get to the transfer spot, I think it’s 24 if anyone cares. Had I known this I would have taken my car. You also have to use this transfer system to get back to your resort after the party, no direct resort stops from TL.

After that fiasco and being ten minutes late we get to the gate. No real security screening since just about everyone is half naked, and we are given a wristband and a free glow band like this:

As for the rides nothing to worry about the only wait is for people to move the tubes otherwise everything was a complete walk on.

There was a DJ who was pretty high energy but started to eventually slow down. All the music was family friendly and some of it was rip offs with generic singers singing popular songs.

Nothing free like the other after hours events except the glow band.

Everyone was having a great time lots of dancing and drinking of adult beverages but to say the event is geared towards adults is just not true, it’s for the kids and kids young at heart.

Personally I had a blast as did my family. The bus situation was annoying but there was no wait for the slides and the waves were empty.

8 out of 10 would go again.

Did you realize that while the party was only from 8 to 11 that you were allowed to arrive at 6? When you do a party like this it actually get more hours of park, you just have to go early and don't expect the DJ music or actual party to be going on... but you can do the rides and it is even less crowded because a lot of people will do like you and show up for the stated times unaware that they start letting people in 2 hours early.

I knew about arriving early it just didn’t mesh with my ADR which was on the other side of the resort. Then getting back to our resort, changed and everyone ready got us in the bus stop at 7:40.

Getting everything to fit into premade schedules is more of a hassle than convenience.
