This morning at my school (Fletcher High in Jacksonville Florida) we had a gun threat. Probably not a big deal nationally but here locally it was a good scare. Apparently someone gave the cops a tip that this kid who's last day at Fletcher was Friday (because he's moving) said he was gonna come back to school today with guns and yea...but they went to his house at 6:30 this morning and arrested him, they found guns and knives and all kinds of stuff in his house. So when we get to school at around 7 they have all entrances except one blocked so we can only get in through one gate and there's 6 cops at that gate checking everyone's ID's, and when you don't know what's going on this can be a little frightening. So finally towards the end of 1st period they let us know over the intercom what's going on and that the kid was arrested and the Sheriffs Office determined that no other students were involved so we were safe again. Most of the kids at school went home after that (some really were worried, the rest were taking advantage of the situation) I stayed and the rest of my classes had no more than 8 people in them. The classes were kinda fun since we didn't do anything but I feel bad for the teachers since they had stuff planned for the day. But ya I'm glad the police took it seriously and took action to prevent anything that might happen. Just thought I'd let you guys know. If anyone on here lives in Jacksonville they might have seen it on the news since we had news crews lined up in the parking lot during the day.
