I was just reading about this on Yahoo. There's a new game coming out later this year called Guitar Rising. It's primarily designed as a teaching tool and will teach you how to play a real guitar. There's a special adapter you can already get for electric guitars that allow you to plug them into your USB port on your computer. If you get that, plug in an electric guitar and load up this game, it will teach you how to play the songs in the game, but for real this time. No pressing red, blue, green, yellow, orange. You use a real six-string with all the frets. Looks like it could be really cool.
