Has anyone stayed at the Grosvenor Resort at DisneyWorld? We have booked a stay for our trip in March and was wondering if anyone had any info on this hotel and their experience there? I researched it and there were negitive and positive post on this hotel. I just want to know what to expect!!! Anyone with any info that they would like to share I would appreciate it!

This is my first time at WDW. I have been to Disneyland three times and wanted to see WDW this time. I am very excited but would love any info that would make my trip better. Recommendations are welcomed.

Thanks,

I have never stayed there, so I have to go by what others have said, too.

Just a suggestion, though...your post is listed under the wrong topic (DISNEYLAND).

You will get more replies if you move it to the correct topic higher up the list (WDW OFFSITE HOTELS).

GOOD LUCK!

Grosvenor resort IS ON WDW property! It is in DD.

We stayed there last Spring Break (Easter week) last year. It was our first trip to WDW, and we thought the Grosvenor Resort was a GREAT! Especially the PRICE!!

We went with our best friends & their kids. The only problem we has was at check-in. When we showed up at 2:00 pm (but this was an hour BEFORE check-in). My room was ready, no problem. :sohappy: My best friends room was not ready till check in at 3:00... but we had requested adjoining or at LEAST rooms NEAR each other. We both had rooms in the tower. Her room was 5 floors UP. :(

The Rooms are GREAT!! They are VERY spacious. We had 2 queen beds, and were able to blow up a QUEEN air mattress and put it on the floor between the window and the bed. The rooms also have a mini fridge, safe, and our FAVORITE thing about the Grosvenor resort is the ammenities!! They leave BATH AND BODY WORKS products in the bathroom! :o It was all Cool Citrus Basil scented shampoo, conditioner and lotions too!! My friend had a different housekeeper that also left THEM suntan lotions and a few other neat little things that we didn't get. There is also a little table with 2 chairs in each room and a desk. We had 2 adults and 3 kids in our room, and my friend had 3 adults and 3 kids in her room. We were all very comfortable there. Oh, and in the tower room we were overlooking Downtown Disney. That was cool too, and we were able to lay in bed and watch fireworks at night!

They have 2 pools, a "baby pool", a hot tub, tennis courts (they loan rackets with your room key), basketball and a little playground.

Busses: The Grosvenor is the LAST stop. The bus is usually FULL. Be out at the bus stop EARLY! (The bus pick up right ourside the front door by the way! That's always nice too!

All in all. I give the resort 2 thumbs up. It is a nice resort. I don;t know about you, but I am OK with missing out on a "disney" hotel to save some money! I am still IN DISNEY!! :)
