First off, Grosvenor was not bad like they say on TripAdvisor. I was almost too scared to stay there. Sure, it was not perfect, but for the price and amenities, it was well worth it. We paid HALF of what we would have paid per night at POFQ or any of the mods. It was even LESS than a value but had the upscale feel of a really nice hotel. It was right across the street from Downtown Disney, had a Disney store in the lobby & the busses to the parks were just as good as the regular Disney busses. Same wait times and even nicer busses - cushioned seats! The best part about Grosvenor, no walking through heat/cold/rain/sun/mosquitos to get to the lobby. A nice elevator ride and you're there. What a pleasure!!!! And Room Service!!! There is also a take out food store open 24 hours! It was very quiet, no screaming, running children everywhere and no sounds between the walls/floors. The beds were amazingly comfortable. Bathrooms were clean. I would definitely stay there again, in fact, unless Disney has a really amazing, deluxe, Fla. resident special (which there are less and less of nowadays), I don't think I will ever stay in a Disney owned/operated resort again. We have now stayed in two Downtown Disney resorts, the Grosvenor and Hilton. Both were fantastic!! Onsite I have stayed in CBR and Contemporary and both were way overpriced and not at all convenient, especially when it comes to getting food, I have no patience for food courts or huge lines for hotel restaurants. When I am on vacation, I like to leave the "chaos" at the parks and relax in my hotel. The Disney resort restaurants are just way too crowded and way too much walking (outside!! ick!!!) IMO. The Disney magic was alive and well last weekend for us at Grosvenor and we saved a BUNDLE!!!!! Please feel free to send me a private message if you want any further information about the hotel.
