Gringott's Queue Question

I know this is a weird question, but it's been driving me crazy, so I have to ask...
We did EE on Tuesday, the line stretched back to Fear Factor, but it moved steadily so by the time we made it to the ride, it wasn't a long wait, maybe 20-30 min. We entered the bank area and looped around it a couple times, then down the short hall with the vaults, and then right into the long hall with the doors.

When the line is 180+ min like it was Tuesday when we were there, there's no one outside the ride waiting, so where is everyone!? There must be other parts of the queue that we didn't see, so where are they? I'm thinking it's between the short vault hall and the long straight hall with the doors - it's the only place I can think of.

How long were you waiting in line? When I was there a week or so ago the line went through the front out back and looped around for a decent distance till it went back inside and into the main bank with the goblins and then on to the normal queue section.

You might have had a long wait time due to they are still having timing issues on the ride to the point that they can only run about 3 vehicles before everything gets out of sync. When I was there they were running empty ride vehicles trying to get the timing sorted out.

From the time we entered the building til we got on the ride, I'd say 30 min. It moved along until we got to the "door" hall where we didn't move for like 15 min. I assumed there was a problem with the ride.

So after you walk in the ride, you immediately went back outside and then went into the main bank? We didn't do that - just went straight to the bank. Is the area "out back" pretty large?
