Grilled cheese at Epcot's Test Track - yummy!

Though this should probably be in the dining and restaurants thread (update: thanks for the move Steve!), I recently returned from a week at Disney World with the big family. We all stayed at the Shades of Green and had a wonderful time. Three small nieces and my brother-in-law experienced their first trips, so it was exciting to experience the parks in their eyes.

On our last full day in the parks on July 5 we all split up and me and my parents ended up at Epcot. We rode Test Track through the single rider line to avoid the hundreds of pre-teen and teen Brazilian and Argentinian tour groups who were already in line.

After the ride I needed a drink and ended up purchasing 2 bottled waters at a kiosk outside the exit of the ride. If I had read the latest news from Steve I would have known that this kiosk sold gourmet grilled cheese. I inquired with the cast members and they told me all about the choices. I was interested in sampling a piece of one of the grilled cheeses but wasn't going to eat a whole one because it was already quite hot out in the mid-90s. Also told the cast member that their stand reminds me of the Say Cheese! food truck in Memphis.

The cast member said they were told to sell these meals and then she offered one of the grilled cheese sandwiches for FREE. Disney instant magic right here. The cast member asked me what I liked to try and said surprise me. I ended up tasting the gruyere and applewood smoked bacon sandwich, and then shared it with my parents. As you see it also included caramelized onions on sourdough bread.

All in all the grilled cheese sandwich hit the spot, was very tasty and yummy, but I find it quite odd Disney would sell gourmet grilled cheeses in all places outside of Test Track. Wondering if World Showcase would be better? Would the gourmet grilled cheeses compete with the croque monsieiur at the France pavilion?

It seems like Disney is trying to "class up" Future World with slightly more sophisticated dining options. Electric Umbrella recently (in the last two years or so?) added to the menu some more interesting options than burgers and chicken.
