Hello there from the UK! I'm so glad to have found this forum :)

As a UK resident, I have visited Disneyland Paris many many times. However, I'm afraid to say I have only visited WDW once.....way back in 1990!

Out of curiosity, I have been trying to find the hotel I stayed in on Google Maps. I believe it was the 'Ramada by Wyndham Kissimmee Gateway' hotel on the 192. However, as you can imagine, it appears to have changed quite a bit over the last 33 years!

I seem to remember a tennis club at the rear of the hotel. And the hotel rooms themselves were all motel-style, as the 8-story main structure hadn't been constructed at that time (I have discovered this was constructed in 1992). Would any other members have old memories of this hotel?

Thanks for taking the time to read this :)

Hello and welcome to the forums.

I think the hotel you are inquiring about is now known as the Maingate Village (https://maingate-village.com/) once known as the Holiday Inn Nikki Bird Hotel where I had the horrible pleasure of staying at in my college years. I'm sure you can do a quick search to find pictures and other details of that iteration of this ever changing property.

Thank you for replying :)

It was definitely in that area, as I vividly remember visiting the local gas station / gift shop, which now appears to be 'Macaw Signs'. The couple who ran the store kept a large dead snake in a glass case on the counter. They told me that they caught it on the grassland behind the store!

Edit: the latest Google Streetview shows that the store has now been demolished ☹️
