Grand Floridian Villas opening?

I've seen 2013 thrown around for GFV opening, but I haven't seen any official sources giving dates. It seems highly unlikely to me that it will be opening this year, especially since they aren't selling points. I looked back at BLT dates, and they started selling about 11-12 months before it opened. Wondering if there are any rumors out there about selling or opening?

We won't be buying in, but I'm hoping our next trip might align with it being open. When BLT opened, 7 month reservations were easier to get compared to now, so we're hoping to get a stay in at GFV before they've sold a lot of ownership.

Yep late 2013 for construction completion at least.

If that's the case, I'll eagerly be waiting for point charts so we can see what's feasible for us next spring!

On our last visit (New Years) I walked from Poly to GF and took some pictures of the new resort.This July on our 14th annual trip I would have liked to stay at the GFV but my family said they don't care to stay at that resort at all.Im sure if DVC thought it would be open by then they would have already started selling points.Im not sure what they are thinking but when BLT opened only people buying points got rooms so that set everyone else back a few months.As for the points if they get crazy and make them to high it will not be anything but a novelty for those who have to be the first to stay.Most others would rather use points for more nights at other resorts.This is just my opinion.

Wouldn't the points be comparable to BLT, Boardwalk, and Y&B because they are in the same class?
