Grand Floridian Villas already booked for next October?

So we are thinking about booking just a standard room at the new GF Villas for NEXT October. How many days out can I book? I always forget if it is 399 or 499 days out. October 12th (when we are thinking about leaving) is still 454 days away, but the website says it is booked? Maybe it's just the new website acting up again and August through September (I even checked part of November) is booked as well which I find hard to believe because it isn't just the standard view studio that isn't available...it is EVERY room. Maybe it is right...or maybe we should just call, but May 2014 (another possible time for us) is available which is a closer date which I thought would already be sold out. So...yeah I need help! And we may be splitting the stay at All-Star Music and then the GF...do we have to book these separately? Thanks

If you are not a DVC member you cannot book until 6 months prior to your dates. Most public offerings of DVC rooms do not get released until that 6 month mark. That is b/c DVC owners at GFV can book at 11 month and then DVC members that that is not their home resort can book at 7 months. So a month later they are then available to the public to book. On a rare occasion some are available before 6 months but not often. That is why it is saying there is none abailable right now. Even DVC members cannot book there until 11 months prior. Your very welcome!! Glad I could help. I used to think the same thing about 4 years ago when we started booking stays in Villas. We are now DVC members as of this May but booked as a regular guests 3 times between Saratoga and Kidani Village. We usually never had a problem booking one 6 months out but with the popularity of GFV and only 100 units available it may be a little hard for you to book. I wish you the best though and ill keep my fingers crossed for you.

Congrats on getting a ressie! . Yes as I mentioned there is some rooms they release but the bulk of it will be at 6 months. There Is a fraction of rooms Disney solely owns at each DVC property for the public to book then at the 6 month mark they release more rooms if available from the DVC inventory. Hope this makes sense. Lol

So this means there are always an allotment o rooms available for payig customers (not DVC owners) to reserve. These usually go out at I think it is 13 months. For ones out in Oct they may not be avaialbe until the 1st of the year. There are only so many DVC rooms available for DVC owners. I think they only release those unused rooms to paying customers at the 30 day or less window. Not totally sure on that one.

I said that in my post you quoted above. "There Is a fraction of rooms Disney solely owns at each DVC property for the public to book ". Disney owns a certain percentage a each DVC resort that's why I said that statement. I was told by several Disney travel agents and Disney CM's most rooms are not released until 6 months out as to when we were able to book in the past. We never could book before that except once we did at 6.5 months. Maybe something has changed since last year. Thanks though.
