Grand Floridian Sugarloaf Club?

I posted this in the Honeymoon forum, but I think it actually may be better to post here! Is there a way to delete a previous thread?

Hi! So, we've officially booked our honeymoon! :cat: I'm wondering if anyone has stayed at the Sugarloaf Club Level building and if someone could give me an idea of:
  • How far away it is from the Main Building/Monorail, Senses, Pool?
  • What the views are like?
  • Do the rooms have balconies?
  • Are there rooms that are considered nicer that we could request before check-in?
  • Is the food delicious? (We stayed at Poly Club Level once and were a little disappointed with the offerings, but not so much so that we wouldn't book club level again, obviously!)

Thank you so much for any help!! :)

I just returned from a stay at the GF, but was not in Sugarloaf. However I can help answer a few questions.

* Sugarloaf is only a couple minutes walk to the main building. Once inside, you climb the stairs and exit out to the monorail platform. From your room to the monorail 5 minutes, tops.
* The courtyard pool is directly across from the entrance to Sugarloaf. The beach pool is about a 5 minute walk away.
* Senses spa is a bit further (but not far). Figure a 10 minute walk.
* Sugarloaf faces the marina on one side and the pool/gardens on the other side.
* All the rooms have balconies. Even the patios on first floor rooms have privacy railings. There are a few dormer rooms on the upper floor which have completely enclosed balconies...in order to see the view you need to be standing outside. Your view from inside your room would be of the enclosed balcony area.

I can't speak about one room being nicer than another, but the rooms are beautiful and the bed mattress is so comfy and the sheets super soft! You will receive evening turn down service (including chocolates on your pillows!) and will receive fresh towels and toiletries, which is a nice "extra."

I have stayed club level at a few resorts (though not GF) and have always found the food to be adequate for breakfast (always continental). Snacks are snacks, but the evening appetizers can be quite tasty and desserts are delish. Other than breakfast, I have never considered the offerings as a substitute for a real meal.

Happy Honeymoon! :inlove:
