This is the corner immediately to your left of entering the main entrance. It was once used as a concierge desk in the past but will by the new location for the Orchestra soon! This hasn't been publicly or officially announced anywhere yet, you are the first to know! (9/22/19)

...and moving it to the first floor and outside of the atrium is a bad call...better they build a new stage at the far end of the atrium space in front of the tea lounge... at least that way the sound would be better, and they would continue to be a focal point of the Grand Atrium...

Disney World needs a director of live entertainment. Seriously. Or a new one.
Some of the decisions that have been made really don’t make sense. This isn’t a budget decision but still makes no sense. At the very least put them where the bird cage is... since ya know.... it doesn’t hold birds anymore. Ha. That would make them the center of the lobby and would be underneath the atrium for acoustics.
Of course the whole point of them being next to the Lounge was to provide live entertainment for both the lounge and the lobby.... are they gonna play canned beauty and the beast inspired music in there and call it an enhancement?

So they’ll be tucked away? That sucks. Both for them, the public and anyone hard of hearing trying to check in!

What'll happen is sure, they'll be in the corner. Instead of the sound being allowed to go "out" in all directions (in their original spot) it's now going to be amplified and forced in one single direction. Congrats, you just funneled and amplified the music for those on the first floor. I should put a bet out there that they'll be told to play soft after their first day. This is such a dumb move.

Agreed. It's great that there will still be a live band, but this solution does not sound good
Also, it's likely to make entering on the ground floor appear crowded. Less of an ideal entrance

as much as i like to put the blame on him lol and usually it is warranted, but Im not sure he has anything to do with changes like this in the resorts, I think it comes from TDO or whoever the GM is of GF???
