Grand Floridian Question

Does anyone know if the Grand Floridian is ever subject to AP or other discounts? It seems as if it's never discounted.

Yes but they sell out very quickly. I called to make reservations for November and I called 1st thing in the morning the 2nd day the rates were released and all that was available at the deluxe or moderates were suites. I call to try to upgrade every other day and I've been lucky enough to get a POP reservation and then upgrade to CBR and now I'm, trying to upgrade to Contemp or Poly.

AP and other discounts almost always include the GF. The trick is getting to them before other people do. The rooms go very quickly, so if you don't call within the first day of them coming out, you're probably SOL. *BUT* you can keep trying to see if someone has cancelled or not paid their deposit or whatever.

We stayed there 2002 w/ap discount...but i think we were lucky, havent gotten it since

Thanks. I appreciate the info and advice. I will keep my eyes and ears open so when the discounted rooms go on sale I'll try to grab one.
