Grand Floridian Concierge

I was hoping for some advice. I just made a reservation today at the Grand Floridian for a lodge conceirge room because the cost was just a touch more than the Lagoon view. Well, I just found out that the Lodge isn't THE lodge but Sugarloaf. I have to admit I was a touch dissapointed. I've never stayed onsite before, let alone at the GF. I'm going to ask my baby to marry me and I want to make this the best trip ever. What's the big difference in the Concierge service (except alcohol, a small dissappointment) between the Royal Palms and Sugarloaf? Has anyone been there before or been to both? What was your experience? Any room recommendations? Do I need to fork over a little more $$$ to stay in the Royal Palms? Any and all advice is welcome and appreciated.

Thank you for your help!:sohappy: :sohappy: :sohappy:

I wish I could be more help. We once called and were told that if we booked concierge, lagoon view, we'd be guarnateed a view of the castle.
I'm sure you know that you can call several days in advance and request a specific view. We have had wonderful success with that. Last time we stayed at the Floridian...not concierge, we requested a view of the castle and were given an incredible view. Why don't you call the concierge at the Floridian and ask your questions. I'm sure you'll be pleased with their frankness.
