Grand Canyon Railway

The wife and I are contemplating a trip to the Grand Canyon aboard the Grand Canyon Railway. We have been to the Canyon before, (years ago) but not by train.
We are looking for suggestions and recommendations from anyone who has taken the train trip.

Not a suggestion as such, but if you are brave enough to get on that skywalk...make sure you take some pictures for us.

Ooooo, we took that trip about 5 years ago! It was pretty neat. The day didn't start out well because we thought we were late and so my dad and I jumped out of the car to get our tickets. My mom, brother, sister, and grandparents all boarded the train that was leaving, leaving my dad and I behind. It turned out that they had boarded the wrong train! So on the way there my dad and I had a nice big section of the train all to ourselves. The Grand Canyon was beautiful and started to lightly snow. This was my first and only experience with it actually snowing! On our way back, there was a "train robbery" where some cowboys came riding up and jumped onto the train and walked through the aisles. It's a fun way to get to see the Grand Canyon, but if you're expecting to spend a lot of time there, I wouldn't suggest it (however, you've already been so that might not be a problem).

I would never, ever go on that sky walk!! I'm deathly afraid of heights!!
