I had graduation today. It was semi-good. We were all singing at the end. I was one of the last to go up out of 384. Speeches were boring but hey, one or two were good. 5 principlas in 4 years and 3 supernitendents in 4 years. Our school is so good. We had our in PPAC, Providence. Beach Balls and Zombies (don't ask about the zombies part). They had a few seconds on TV but you know Tv can't show anything positive, they just show the negative. It felt like on was floating on air when someone was singing a solo. O well, I got a hug by the second hottest person in the class. We were all singing god bless the usa at the end of graduation. Well not every graduate, but the school sprited ones. Ill miss some of them. But I'll see the ones that I want to see again. We gave someone an honorary diploma, a D-Day vet.

Congratulations!!!! I dunno... my hs graduation was a lot of fun... it was an extremely prestigous/formal/solomn event (compared to others I have seen around here) and I feel that the principal does an excellent job. It was fun, though, b/c I was good friends with both of the people I was sitting next to so we were commenting on everything (I was one of the first to receive my diploma so it was about 30 minutes to the end of graduation after I got my diploma)... Everyone commented on my Mickey tie that I wore under my gown

I graduated in a Basilica wearing a tuxedo. There were the usual speeches, the "man of the year" award, and then a benediction. (Can you tell I went to a Catholic school? :) ) I don't know if it's cause I went to an all guy school or not, but it was all very unemotional. I couldn't wear a mickey mouse tie obviously, but I did manage to forego the rented shoes from the tuxedo shop in favor of my Doc Marten's boots. As it happens, my boots show up very clearly in my graduation pic. (They took pictures of us with the principal when we went up on to the alter to get our diplomas.)

CONGRATS!!

I see not much has changed in 10 years. I was almost late for my HS graduation.... Speaker was no one worthwhile. College grad wasn't much more entertaining, other than me and a friend discussing the affairs of personal lives of the dean and his soon to be roomie. Its amazing how some people get raises....

Congratulations. I saw you get your diploma, I think you were right before my nephew or right after. All I know is that they started with the Zsss and worked their way backward!! But it really wasn't that bad!! Good luck next year!!

my second oldest son graduated from high school on the 19th, and they graduated 482 students in about 1 1/2 hours... i was impressed... great speeches, nice music selections... quick and not too stuffy in the hot gym, 'cuz of the rain outside...

Well, I'm not telling EXACTLY what year I graduated from high school, but at the end of the outdoor ceremony, the whole class (465 students) sat down on the bleachers and sang "Get Together" with our choir director on guitar. Sounds corny, I know, but it was just right at the time. (No, "Get Together" was NOT in the Top 10 that year - I'm not an antique!) My college graduation, in stark contrast, was pretty dull.
