Grad Nite

We are going to Disney from 04/20/02 - 05/01/02 and I found out that Disney is having Grad Nite 04/19/02, 04/20/02, 04/26/02 and 04/27/02. I know that they will close the MK during the evening to accomodate this but I was wondering if anyone had ever been at Disney during this time.

I used to work for a school system and the schools always went in Mid April and with the 5 high schools combined it wound up being about 1500 seniors going. I also know that they would stay at the all stars. My question is this: do you really notice them? Is it worse than the Brazilain tour groups? We will be staying at POR and this is also a celebration for hubbies 30th birthday, so I'm trying to make sure that everything will work out.

NO ONE is worse than the Brazillian Tour Groups. However, we high schoolers can be obnoxious...but we travel in small groups without the annoying green shirts and flags. And we speak English and don't cut in lines. You still get the swearing...which is absurd at disney world...but they do...I'm too happy to swear when I'm at disney world! Now Universal...well...thankfully I don't GO there...I'd be irrate all day! I wish my class would go to disney world for our senior trip...but we're going to the UK in July....should be fun!

I'm not familiar with Grad night. Is it just at MK or other parks? Is this something we will want to avoid?

I went to Gradnight in 94 it was awesome. i was a bad boy. did the stuff your not supposed to.(mr Macky wouldn't of been pleased M'kay)great experience! the next year i went on a grad night night and wished i could of gone again. the place is magical at night. my only gripe is the park closes so early on those nights. I think it was 6 or 6:30PM.

That's great that they have something like that for students. Too bad I lived too far away to have ever gone. (of course they may not have had grad night back in my days.....a long long long long long time ago. :animwink: I hope all of you grads out there have a great time!!!:sohappy:
