Got an offer in the mail but...

Sad Day! I got an offer in the mail yesterday and I was so excited! I never get offers! I always figured they knew I was hooked so what's the point in sending me a discount?

I couldn't tell exactly what the offer was, but it looked to be a room-rate discount. It said to call and tell them pacakge code "SX6", so I called and talked to the lady. She put the code in and...it didn't change my price one bit :(

However, she did say to keep a look out because they send a lot of offers for September and she also told me to keep my eye out for free dining because that is what they've done in the past (I tried to play naive...)

Although I'm sure the staff do not know if free dining will be offered, at least it's nice to know that they haven't been told that it will NOT be offered because there's no way she would have told me that if they knew it was not being offered.

Well...I'll keep checking my mail and e-mail - maybe I'll get lucky and get a pin code that actually improves my price

Did you ask if there would have been better rates at other resorts/times? It's entirely possible that the resort you currently had wasn't applicable, or the time you had booked wasn't applicable. Mailings are getting more and more targeted, so it may have only applied to a certain resort, class of resort, on valid for stays that started mid week, or perhaps only for AoA LM rooms booked under the 3rd full moon of the year for travel starting next Weds. It's a black magic understanding PIN codes.

Sorry to hear it wasn't any good for you. : ( They get your hopes up and then SMASH! they come crashing down.

THe offer was for a room rate for a standard room at WL or AKL. We are at WL, but we are in a courtyard/Bunk bed room. I was hoping the promo would just "adjust" to work without non-standard room (i.e., give us the same % discount as it was on the standard room), but it was standard room or nuttin'

I can believe it, as it follows their recent trend. Better luck next time!

Man. I hope I can convince my hubby to book a bounce back offer! We've never done that, but it's usually not a time when we're able to go.:( Perhaps if we take a whole year off, and don't go, I'll get that email. LOL.:D

Did they mention when offers for September might go out?

I'd say you have a few months. The current discounts need to be booked by 6/14. The next round of discounts often doesn't start until just around that date, or some time after. Looking at past dates, I wouldn't be surprised if they don't come out til lateJune or July.

I got a pin code in my email and one in regular mail. They are both the same offer. Just a discount to save at least x amount of money depending on resort level. That goes from end of April through middle of August. I cannot use it but hope they keep sending them. On a side note the email like did not work yet.

She didn't give a specific date, but said to keep watching my email and mail because they will start sending a lot of offers out for the fall "soon" (Whatever that means...) But she did specifically tell me to check my junk mail because they send a lot of promo stuff out via email. I didn't tell her that I have a specific "filter" on my email that puts any email with the word "Disney" in it into my "Disney" folder - I didn't want her to put a note in the system or something that says "this lady's already an addict - no promos."

I checked my spam folder- the only stuff in there is cell phone offers, senior dating (really? I'm 36 and married), reverse mortgage info, SS disability stuff and burial insurance-I think the internet thinks I'm old and lonely :) - NOTHING for WDW :'(
