Goodbye to the Bears

Disneyland released the official news that the Country Bear Jamboree will be closed forever as of Sunday, September 9th.

The last performance will be the night of September 9th. The longtime attraction will be making way for an undisclosed future attraction now in development.

Thought you guys would like to know that it is official.

pfew! i thought this was some cheesehead jibe against the chicago bears.

not that the chicago bears have performed much better than the country bears in recent years. in fact, i'd make the country bears 7-pt. favorites. gotta like big al as a defensive end.

seriously, this is sad, but not unexpected, news. i'll always have fond memories of seeing cbj as a kid. i think my mother nearly peed in her pants because she was laughing so much. but i'm afraid the attraction's charm just doesn't register with tikes nowadays. bummer. rip cbj.

Accourding to Cynthia Harriss, they are giving the Bears a well deserved rest to make way for a future attraction for the further enjoyment of their guests.

Country Bears

I am very sad to reply but the Country Bears will be invaded by that fat bear we all know and hate, Pooh.
Well there goes another disney classic down the drain . . .

Winnie the Pooh will be great. The bears weren't getting too much of an audience so why should they play to empty shows?
