WARNING THIS IS NOT A SERIOUS POST, NOT AN ACTUAL RUMOR
Recently, Disney sent out a survey to select Guests that contained a question in it that’s leaving fans of a longtime OC park concerned. Add to this upheaval plans from across the ocean, and some folks are downright worried.
Over 60 years Walt Disney opened his wonder park Disneyland. While not successful from day 1, it eventually grew into a massive success, influencing the rest of the amusement park industry and becoming a landmark of California.
Through the years, the park's formula has influenced other parks that were built in Paris, Tokyo and Hong Kong, and in Tokyo, they are currently building an expansion with the park that will be ready for that country's Olympics. But the Tokyo park might not be there for long. According to my favorite ex-insider, there are plans in the works to either move the park or close it down altogether.
In both Tokyo and California, the parks up a huge chunk of very desirable real estate, so moving the Tokyo version would make sense. But then, this question popped up on a Disneyland Guest survey, which prompted this rumor:
You may think this sounds completely normal, but think again. When you jump to conclusions it all makes sense.
If Disneyland was to go away, there would be much more room for more backstage, a Starbucks with a McDonalds. Or an expansion of the TDA Building. Depends upon to whom you are speaking.
One thing that is NOT on the chopping block is the Magic Kingdom for a fancy new administration building or anything else. One rumor is for Disneyland to move to Tokyo, instead of simply moving their version, they’d take control of Walt’s original.
It’s usually about two years between the first survey question and any announcement, so if this is going to happen, it’s a long way off. A lot depends upon how people answer that question. We’ll just have to, as always, wait and forget that this dumb rumor was even a thing.

“Will You Visit Disneyland Park Again?"
