Since people were being bums and posting how much they hate Tapestry of Nations, I have decided to delete my previous thread on this topic. Do not post on this thread if what you are going to say is in any way showing negativity towards the parade. This includes people complaining of "not being a parade person". Is this clear? Yes? Good.
As I was saying....
Wow, it's hard to believe there is only one day left of Tapestry of Nations! This evening's first performance was cancelled due to the rain. Luckily the rain let up enough to allow the second parade. Although it started pouring during the parade, it went on. I was watching my friend Carlos as Sage, greeting the puppets as they passed through the gate. Security guards were telling Carlos to go backstage; the parade was going to be cut short due to the weather. Carlos said "No, this is my last performance and I refuse to go backstage. I WILL finish this parade." The puppeteers had been rushed to end the parade early. When the last few puppeteers noticed that Carlos was not leaving they stayed out with him, in the rain, until the parade was finished. Of all the performances of Tapestry I've seen, this had to be the most inspiring.
