Good Photo Spots

Hi all...this is my first time posting. The tips and secrets are really helping for some things to check for during my trip to Walt Disney World...I'll be there from May 13th to 25th (7 days to go!)

Since I was planning on making a scrapbook when I get home I was wondering if people have any suggestions for photos...maybe a certain spot that Cinderella's Castle looks best. Even certain areas of the parks that are particularly photogenic.

I would even like suggestions of angles...for example my friend lay down on the ground to get a really cool shot of the tower of terror.

I'm most interested in areas that other people may pass by. I like the thought of getting a picture of a little known secret spot. All your advice is appreciated. I will be travelling with my boyfriend and we want to get some nice photos of each other and hopefully the Cast Members will take some pictures of the two of us together.

Thanks for your help.

My favorite place to get a picture of the castle is here. There is a nice bench right there that will give you a seat an awesome shot of the castle without people being in the way. Its on the way to the crystal palace across from casey's (left off the end of main street).

My favorite photo spot is actually one of Disney's recommended photo spots. It's in the MK, on the bridge between Liberty Square and the central hub. You can get an awesome shot of Cinderella's Castle from there. The view is kind of 3/4 - not the side, but not the front. The great thing about the shot is that, if you frame it properly, you can get just the castle and the surrounding scenery in the photo - no other buildings, posts, or signs are visible. I think of it as my postcard picture. I have sample of it here: Cinderella's Castle

There's always the classic (and my personal favorite) picture spot in front of the Partners statue in the hub area. There's always tons of people taking pictures there so I'm positive if you ask, someone will take a picture for you. :)

As Robert Capa put it "If your pictures arent Good Enough, Youre Not Close Enough...."

As for my suggestions of where to take stuff from? Look in my photo gallery. But overall, that quote stands more than anything.

You know what my suggestion is......?

Utilize Disney's suggestions. They have KODAK PHOTO SPOT signs all over the place. That would be a good start. I've used them and they're really pretty cool.

We took about 800 pics the last time we went, if you're bored, check them out here: http://delorean.ics.purdue.edu/~seliger/pictures/Disney Vacation 2003/

They're organized into an online photo album.

If you are really in to scrapbooking, I noticed that some stores (Sir Mickey's in MK) sell WDW themed scrapbooking supplies.

OMG I got in the mood to start scrapbooking my thousands of pics I took last fall (literally) So I went out and bought pretty much Disney had to offer for scrapbooking (as well as everything WalMart and Target sold). I was all hyped up to have this really cool scrapbook of my college program....and still only have 5 pages complete. The rest of its sitting in a closet. :hammer: Oh well.

I'm a freak when it comes to getting the perfect picture. I think it kinda annoyed my friends (ya think se and mellie?) I also was obsessed with taking tons of pictures and wasting TONS of film just to make sure i happened to get an awesome picture.
