Are there any advantages to staying at the Good Neighbor Hotels?
That was the only thing I saw, too. Since I plan to already have my tickets, I will just search based on factors. The only difference between Disney Good Neighbor hotels and non-Neighbor hotels is that the Neighbor hotels are authorized to sell park tickets. It has nothing to do with the hotel's quality/cleanliness.
This. Though if you are looking for a hotel that is close to the parks they almost all fall in the Good Neighbor category. The only difference between Disney Good Neighbor hotels and non-Neighbor hotels is that the Neighbor hotels are authorized to sell park tickets. It has nothing to do with the hotel's quality/cleanliness.
This true in general, though I would still check with the hotel websites. Some of the hotels like the Tropicana Inn and Carousel Inn offer discounts if you book over a certain number of nights that may be a better deal (for instance if you go 5 or more nights you can get $20 off a night at the Tropicana). No, just that you can buy park tickets at the Good Neighbor hotels. But you can get park tickets cheaper elsewhere, and you can also book the Good Neighbor hotels cheaper with an AAA discount than you can by booking directly through the Good Neighbor site with park tickets included. You can't get any closer to the parks (except for the Grand Californian) than the Best Western Plus Mini Inn and Suites, plus it included a free hot breakfast. We loved it last May. Good price, great location.
