Already planning for October - I noticed that the Tropicana Inn & Suites is not listed on DL.com as a "good neighbor hotel" - anyone know why?

Debating on:
Fairfield Inn (stayed here in 2012)
Tropicana
Best Western (mini suite)

I don't know much about the hotels you mentioned, but we have stayed at the Annabella Hotel a couple of times. We really like it there...walking distance to the parks through GCL, we've been upgraded rooms, and given free breakfast as well.

For some reason, not all of the nearby hotels are listed on Disneyland's website.

I've stayed at the Best Western (could have been the Best Western Plus...can't remember) and I would definitely do it again. Is the Best Western hotel you're looking at directly across the street from the parks?

Yes. We really liked the Fairfield but the closer we are to the main gates the better for my friend's 72 year old mother!

That's the one I stayed at! I was very comfortable, the room was clean, the bathroom was nice, and we had the option of free breakfast the next morning. Plus, you can't beat the location.

We stayed here too and it was great. One tip to the OP: consider not buying your park tickets as part of a package with a Good Neighbor hotel. It's cheaper to book the hotel with a AAA or other discount then get your tickets directly from a legitimate discounter. I think the one we used was way.com, and the vouchers they sent us worked fine to be exchanged for tickets at the gate.

We stayed at Best Western Pavillions, considered one of the "Good Neighbor Hotels"... we liked the room, however we didn't really spend much time there. Just to sleep and one afternoon the first night. While the room is comfortable, I don't think we would stay there again based on the location.
We didnt rent a car, so it was quite a bit of walking for us... it was a LONG walk to the park even though they market it as "two blocks from Disneyland".

Alright @raven24 if we decide to do a trip to DL, but stay offsite, what do you (or anyone on here) know about the camelot across the street? Looks neat from the outside and its very close

Hey, coach. I remember staying at the Camelot when I was a kid and I remember liking it, but that was back in the 90's haha. I haven't recently heard any reviews about it, but I always see plenty of guests staying there every time I hit up the parks.

It seems that most of DL guests stay at the Candy Cane Inn, the Howard Johnson (HoJo), the Anabella, or the Fairfield. The Howard Johnson is the most popular.

Thanks for the info. We are trying to see if a DL trip this summer might be possible. Looking at the first week in August. Hope it works out since we had no plans to go this summer!

That sounds nice! It would be great if you could come sometime after May for the 60th celebration, even for just a day or two.
