Hey guys, I've got a some questions about CM green fees at the Disney courses.

- How much do CMs have to pay for a round? I've heard the rate is $45 for 18 holes, including cart.
- Are there times of the year (or a specific week/weekend) where CMs get an even better discount?
- Are there blackout dates on the CM discount?
- Does it matter which course you play?
- Does the discount apply to family members too? For example, if I play with my dad can we both get the discount?
- Is there a Disney discount at any off-property courses?

That's all for now. Thanks for the help!

Hey guys, I've got a some questions about CM green fees at the Disney courses.

First off, I didnt get to play any rounds last year due to my work schedule, but for this year, it is on the top of my priority list to play the course beside the Magic Kingdom. Here are the answers to the questions I asked when wondering the same things you are curious about.

You may get a small discount on your green fees, but you have to call and make reservations for your tee times. $45 sounds about right, but it may be cost a little more.

Only on block out dates, which for disney only includes the week before tournament play is taking place, due to the need of prepping the course for the tourney. This may go only for the course the PGA stops by, wich I dont know the name of.

- Are there blackout dates on the CM discount?
Not that I am aware of, the discount is available all season long. Just be sure to call ahead for tee times.

- Does it matter which course you play?
Cast members can get discounts at all the courses, since they are all public. Cast members I knew during my program went several times to many of the different courses on WDW property. All recieved discounts on all courses. But like I said before, its not a big discount.

- Does the discount apply to family members too? For example, if I play with my dad can we both get the discount?
Yes, its just like when you go to buy a souvenier at a store on property, BUT!!!, make sure YOU are the one who is buying the golf round.

- Is there a Disney discount at any off-property courses?
The huge hotel off property that has an 18 hole course I believe has a dicount for cm. But dont hold me to it. I recall a cm telling me he plays the course and they do have discounts.

From an avid golfer... me:) $45 in the AM, $30 in the PM (AM/PM hours change based on season, sometimes 11, sometimes 1PM). Includes cart. No blackout dates, but you can only book 72 hours in advance. Can be booked on the portal. The only course that is less is Oak trail, which is 15 dollars (a nice 9-hole course). Oak trail does not include a cart. Discounts apply to family members or friends (up to 3 additional, but based on new rules in february you must play with them). Some off property courses offer discounts. But if you're an avid golfer as well, you know NO ONE pays listed prices. Make some friends and play for cheap, or even free. I can't remember the last time I paid to golf at Falcon's Fire.

The most important thing to remember is THE SUMMER CARD. This is typically offered may 1st to september 1st and is usually 180 bucks. It offers unlimited free golf after 1PM, including a cart. It's an AMAZING deal. On nice days when I get off of work at 5, I'll head straight to the course and just play until I can't see anymore. I LOVE IT!

And to correct the person above, it's a VERY big discount. Rack-rates for the courses can run as high as 145 dollars in the morning. So 100 dollars off (in my opinion, maybe not the previous poster's) sounds pretty good to me. ESPECIALLY for courses with such great ratings and slopes (for Florida courses, anyway).

Also, YOU do not have to be the one that pays for everyone. This is different from merchandise and they can pay themselves while still getting the discount, provided you're playing too.

I'm not sure what the huge hotel off property is, but Orange County National, Celebration Golf Club, Kissimmee Golf Club, Falcon's Fire and MANY more offer CM discounts from time-to-time. I prefer OCN and FF the most. The food at FF is AMAZING.

As far as preference? My favorite is Osprey. Great elevation changes for a Floridian course. Beautiful wild-life, and really, REALLY long course from the blacks. Magnolia is way long from the blacks too. I don't know that I would ever try to play it from the blacks again. There were a few holes on Magnolia where I felt like I needed 2 drivers.
