Enough is enough with Tiana. Too much is too of a good thing. Leave well enough alone we do not a repeat of Olaf and the Frozen Queen and her sister.

Disney is doing what they always do when they roll out something new that they want to drive attention to. They flood the parks with lots of merch everywhere, lots of snacks and food connected to it and drive up the hype. Tiana is especially important to them because its all been connected to the replacement of Splash to show how non-racist they are and to appease the loud voices that have for decades called for action. Frozen was capitalizing on the childrens excitement and popularity of the movie and popular songs. Tiana is all about the adults and showing how caring Dis is around certain societal issues.
I do welcome the addition of jambalaya, beignets and other food stuff.
Dont expect the flooding of Tiana brand to subside any time soon.

They were totally caught off guard with the Frozen phenomenon. They were short on merch, and dragged their feet on attractions. By the time they realized what they had, the mania had subsided so it looked like overkill. It's still huge and probably deserves a land as much as SW or Avatar.

With Tiana, there is no mania and never has been. They'll be marking down Tiana merch soon after it appears.

Tiane never moved the needle at all and it did terribly in the box office.... Waste of a ride

You do realize that many people respond incredibly well to Tianna. Millions of children see themselves represented by her.

So, maybe widen your horizons and understand that just because she doesn’t mean anything to you, doesn’t mean she is not an important character for many many people.

Add in merchandise, which is where Disney really makes the money.

We were just on the wonder. She is a very popular character.

I had no idea how popular until people lined up and dressed like her

My horizons are wide. Of course Tiana as a character is important to many children, as other ethnic characters have been added to the Disney line up to show children role models. The movie was not the blockbuster production that Frozen was nor did it drive children in a frenzy over the songs or characters Frozen did. Popularity of characters was not the overall reason Dis added the attraction. It was to stop the decades old racism charges that continually plagued Disney. The attraction was mostly brought on to appease the adults and stop further calls of racism. Iger was constantly being asked about releasing Song of the South and was finally able to remove a big problem that was constantly being raised.

And I'm sure she is. The issue with all of this is the way Disney mismanages this. Every. Single. Time.

If something grows organically, and demand begins to increase, there is nothing wrong with creating a new experience, ride, or show based on that demand. That is the natural way to do things.

Disney though always tries to force the evolution of the demand and push a perspective on the guest by telling them how they should feel about it.

With Disney it is very rarely "new". It's always "replace". And when they "replace" - they themselves condemn the "replacement" to a comparrision of what it was that was replaced. You never win in that scenario.
