Jonny Depp and Jamie Lee Curtis didn't win!:(

There's always the oscars you know. I've always thought the golden globe awards were a little :hammer:

At least LOTR won for best Original Song, Original Score, and Best Director.

I didn't think there were any major surprises, but I was happy that Sofia Coppola won a bunch. the movie was excellent, and the cast was surprisingly fit for the parts.

I was sad to see that Will and Grace lost out on every category, though I am glad the office won.

now I am really excited to see how the oscars go!

I've been hoping for this the last three years. It's about time. Bring on the Oscars.

They have been "jipped" for too long. There will be no justice unless Jackson, Shore, and the Movie itself all win Oscars. The special effects crews also need a lot of recognition. :king:

I think that LOTR could easily win almost every category, from director, to special effects, to acting performances to music, etc. When a movie is just that good it really does need to be noticed. and when it does it three years in a row, it needs it's own award.

I agree. I also think that Sean (Sam) and the actor who did Smeagol could win awards too, although I doubt they will be nominated. I guess it will turn into the "Star Wars" of our time. I wonder if this movie will be a cult-like movie for our kids and their kids?

in my house, this will definatly be true. both star wars and LOTR are constantly being borrowed and played in our house. heck, two of my cats are named han and leia. (my husband named them.) and there are some really good names from LOTR....gimley, perhaps.... :)

I couldn't agree more. He gave a really classy speech, as well. Thought Sharon Stone looked great and she and Danny DeVito did an outstanding job with their tributr to him. Couldn't believe that nobody got Danny's joke about building thier careers "brick by brick"

I don´t get it and don´t think I heard that one... I was probably busy posting here! :veryconfu

...and yes, he looked very handsome and gave a good speech!

Charlize´s Theron dress was beautiful! (didn´t like her accesories too much though). J.Lo´s was not very flattering and what´s with the old belt?? Nicole Kidman looked beautiful as always, but that wasn´t the best dress I´ve seen on her.... and she could have awarded Tom Cruise! Damn it didn´t happen! (where was Penelope?)

:D

Charlize was gorgeous, and many of the women had wonderful classic looking dresses. Nicole Kidman was the only one to go out on a limb, and even though she went without the doublesided tape, she still ooked stunning.

and J.Lo just looked bored. she totally wore her heart on her sleve, you could tell she didn't want to be there, and she was trying to put on a smile. I always find it interesting who they invite to the show, and who they ask to present the awards. I would think they would ask former and current winners of the awards, instead of those who have never even been nominated.

and how fab did jennifer aniston look? and the gals from s*x in the city? and the cast of will and grace? it really was quite a night for fashion!

I totally agree with you! I loved Jennifer Aniston´s dress! ...and call me crazy but I´ve seen her wear a black dress that looked just like that one in the front before!

Sarah Jessica Parker´s dress was daring, don´t you think? I loved the fabric of the skirt, but not everyone looks well with a skirt like that and a big bow like hers in the back. She did look good in it.

I was surprised to see the guys well dressed too. I didn´t see crazy styles (except for Johny Depp´s hat and Sparrow´s look). They were very classy this time. :)
