My DH and I spent our Honeymoon at Disney 4 years ago and it was the best experience. Now, I had to special order the minnie headband ears from DL back then because they didn't sell them at WDW, but now you can find them anywhere in the park- I say this because the heaband one was alot easier to deal with than the "hat". You can buy them pretty much anywhere that you see the other hats. As for the pin- I believe anywhere you find a "pin station" you can get the wedding pin.

As for does Disney treat you like Royalty- well, depends on how you define that and what you expect as treatment. Like if you expect tons of free stuff- that may or may not happen. My DH and I did get things given to us, but we weren't really looking for it. We ate at Cindy's one evening and they gave us glass champane flutes at the end of the meal, so that was kind of neat. If you wear the hats, you will get lots of people saying congrats- CMs and other guests.

I guess if you go in just planning on enjoying your honeymoon and not expecting tons of freebies, then you will feel like you are being treated great, but if you go in expecting all this "stuff" then you might be let down (I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but it's better to be surprised than to expect things that may or may not happen)

Romantic ideas- carriage ride at Fort Wilderness, Saratoga Springs or Port Orleans Riverside is a nice idea

Just enjoy your time as a honeymooner! :)

We just honeymooned at the world in May and had a great time. We were given a lot of free stuff that we didn't expect, like free drinks, desserts, etc, but it was the "congratuations" that we recieved a million times a day that we really loved. We even recieved group congrats from our safari truck and our elevator on the Tot.
A few restaurants decorated our tables for us and we were sent to the front of the line a few times. We only wore our hats a few days since they became a pain. The honeymoon pin that I think you're talking about was given to us by a CM who spotted us outside city hall.

For romantic suggestions, how about a Wishes cruise, parasailing on Bay Lake or dinner at the California Grill? We've done them all and I would suggest them as fun and romantic. Have fun!

On our Honeymoon in 2004, we were suprised one morning when someone knocked on our room door, it was room service with a bottle of champane and glasses and a little box that had Honeymoon pins in it. We wore our pins the whole week and a ton of CM's and guests congratulated us.

DH and I spent our honeymoon in WDW last September...best vacation EVER!!!! We got our pins at City Hall. We did get some special attention...it was great. It was neat to see other honeymooners or people celebrating their anniversaries and chatting with them. We also took a carriage ride in Fort WIlderness and splurged on things like more ADR's and horseback riding.

I wanted to wear our hats to the rehearsal dinner so I called WDW mail order and had them in time for the dinner. Just an idea!

we honeymooned at the world in april and got some free stuff, but mostly congratulations from almost every cm we passed. one thing that i did was when i made our dining reservations i told them that we would be on our honeymoon, so some restraunts had things ready for us. also, i told the hotel when i made the reservation. oh, and of course we had the pins.

special stuff we "got"
1. we stayed at the polynesian, the day we arrived we ate dinner at ohana where we got a "special" table by the window with a view of the castle. when we got back to our room, there was a card with an autographed picture of cinderella & prince charming and a congratulations phone message from mickey and minnie

2. free champagne flutes at crt

3. free dessert at kona cafe, after breakfast

4. dancing with pluto in the "parade" at ohana's during breakfast, oh and stitch pretended to pass out because i married alex a seminole fan (apparently stitch is a gator fan!!)

5. a highly embarrassing serenade at whispering canyon where we were made to dance in front of the whole restraunt while everyone sang to us. when we arrived the person checking us in got on the microphone and congratulated us for making it out of bed that day

6. dessert and a congratualtions card at jiko

7. special "coaching" from aunt sally (i think that was her name) at 50's prime time cafe

8. chocolate covered pretzels from the boardwalk bakery

9. everest fast passes

for us the most memorable experiences were with the characters, most of them spent extra time with us and/or made reference to the fact that it was our honeymoon. we just went there cause it is one of our favorite place and we knew we would have fun, and we did. if you go with that attitude, you'll be pleasantly surprised. we were
congrats :sohappy:

We had champagne and flutes in our room upon arrival. When making all of our dining reservations I told them it was our honeymoon and the CM's at the restaurants were great. We were on the dining plan so we didn't get ay freebies with food. But we stayed at WL and ate quite a few breakfasts at Whispering Canyon. We had the same server each morning and on the last day he gave us a set of their napkins. Seems pretty stupid but it was something we remember, and we truly do have a piece of WDW in our home.

They really do treat you like royalty.
Every CM says congrats (my favorite was at HM they said "our condolences")...
We got:
flutes at CRT
a card from Le Cellier that everyone there signed
we got free dessert at most places went for dinner (the best was at Momma Melrose)

I don't remember too much else from the honeymoon, except constantly being at the store at the hotel (French Quarter) to try some new medicine - I had caught a nasty cold from my maid of honor and was sick all but the last day.

But I would definitely suggest doing the carriage ride (we took one at Riverside), taking a boat out at Downtown Disney (so relaxing), and watching Wishes from the California Grill.
