We are looking in to going to Disneyland on November 6-10. Can people who frquent the park tell me what the crowds are like, what the weather is like, and what the park hours for that time of year usually are.

Thank You

lol, hey, some of us live states away from Disney!

I live in Minnesota. I'm as Disney deprived as anyone can get.......seriously. I am probably in the exact area furthest from any Disney theme park, or any good theme park for that matter :)

Disneyland is always most congested on Fridays & Saturdays. Especially Saturday nights. That's when all the local teens come. Sunday mornings are one of the best times to visit the park. On some Sundays it seems like you have the entire park to yourself. Also keep in mind if Disneyland gets to congested for you, Disney's California Adventure is dead every day of the week.

Have fun :)

Weekdays shouldn't be bad crowdwise. Cool at night, pack something warm. Beginning of Nov., eh, slight, slight chance of rain. And don't miss the Blue Bayou!

Yeah, but I think JLW11Hi was saying being from Minnesota, they live further from either Disney resort. Being in New Jersey, you are further from the California resort then Minnesota, but you are also closer to the Florida resort then Minnesota is.

Myself I'm lucky, since I have two homes, one in Kissimmee FL (8 miles from WDW) and one in Torrance CA (about 40 miles from DLR)

Lucky Cal, our Magic Kingdom closes at 6PM, so I think I'll be going to Disney MGM myself, at least they are open till 9PM.

Say Hi to Ray and Tigggrl for me!

First part of November is total off-season. Weather varies between very nice to coldish (for L.A.) and soggy. So pack expecting both. As far as crowds go, the only thing you'll notice if you're there for both weekend and weekday is that it will be a bit more crowded on weekends--worse during midday, not so bad in AM and post parade evenings. But I think you'll be fine. You'll be there a few weeks early before Thanksgiving crowds hit.

Only hinks for this time of year will be that the Haunted Mansion NMBC Holiday Haunt will already be going (it begins in late October this year). And during some years they add the Christmas decor and begin some of the holiday festivities by November 1st. Don't know if that's happening this year, though--haven't begun advertizing yet (probably will begin in another month to 6 weeks). But I'm absolutely certain about the Haunted Mansion. I've heard rumors that they're trying to attract people to the park for Halloween. So expect the line for it to be kind of long (it has FASTPASS, consider using it).

It's a Small World will either be closed or reopened with it's Christmas-themed makeover as well (you're going right around the time when they reopen it--might even happen during your stay so keep your eyes open). If it's in Holiday mode, ride IASW at night--the place is so wonderfully lit up and decorated that it makes even the most ardent IASW haters lay off on the attitude.

I also recommend riding Storybookland Canal Boats after dark, again very nicely lit and detailed. Then be sure to enjoy all the rides DL has that other parks don't have--Indy, Mr. Toad, Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, Roger Rabbit Cartoon Spin, the original Tiki Room, Tarzan's Tree House...I know I'm forgetting a few more.

Blue Bayou rocks! Last I checked, they haven't done a PS thing for DL. So if you want to eat there, you might need to get to the restaurant entrance (tucked away in New Orleans Square) bright and early to get a reservation or else face a long line for admittance. It's the only truly magic restaurant in DL. But for good buffeteria food, definately try the French Market just a few doors over from the Blue Bayou--always superior food to the other buffeterias--and they usually have a live Dixieland Jazz band playing.

Have fun! And enjoy the light crowds. This year I'm not going until December 30th--family coming into town for Christmas who desperately want to go. Gonna wear my elbow pads so I can effectively wade thru the gobs of people who will be there. Pray for me.

;)
