I want to know which attractions Ishould make a point to go to as I'm only going for a day or two, as our plans weren't solely to go to DisneyLand. I have park hoppers so I can also go to California Adventure, I've seen videos of California Screamin' or something like that, how is it?

California Screamin' is awesome! One of the best roller coasters you'll find. Not a whole lot else worth checking out at Paradise Pier, except maybe the Maliboomer, because its pretty fun and you can probably walk right on. the Grizzly River Run at DCA is good, but usually a long wait. Soarin' is awesome. Definitely don't skip the Tower of Terror. There are a couple different special effects that make it different from WDW's version. If time permits, the Alladin show at the Hyperion theater in DCA is just amazing.

At DL, DO NOT SKIP the Indiana Jones Adventure. Might be the best attraction in any disney park. In addition to the familiar magic kingdom "must-do" attractions, i would recommend the Matterhorn and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, 2 classics that aren't at WDW. If you're there for 2 full days, you shouldn't have a problem seeing just about everything. Have fun!

Thanks, I've been to WDW many, many times.. and I've heard of the recent renovation/refurb of space mountian at DisneyLand, has anybody ridden it since then? I heard about it in the other topic and it sounds like it blows the one in WDW away!

Nothing at DL is exactly like the MK, so ride as much as you can. Make sure you experience Indiana Jones, PotC, the original Tiki Room, the Matterhorn, Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, and the new Space Mountain. If you like dark rides, Pinocchio's Daring Journey (or Adventure...or whatever) and the Alice in Wonderland ride are fun; and take a ride around the Storybookland Canal Boats, too. Since the 50th celebration has contributed to huge crowds, you will need to spend AT LEAST an entire day at DL, and Fastpass your way around the park! Stay to watch the "Remember" fireworks show and Fantasmic.

As for DCA, make sure you ride California Screamin', Grizzly River Rapids (although Kali at AK is better), and the Monsters, Inc. ride. It's nice to compare their ToT to ours, too. You won't spend more than half a day in this park.

If you're planning to go to the DL resort for two days, plan on spending the majority of your time in DL, and about half a day in DCA. Also, have a clear plan when you get there, since DL is more compact and crowded than the MK.

Have fun, and enjoy the original park!

P.S. I think this thread is in the wrong forum. It'll probably be moved to the Disneyland category.

Oh, I was just letting you know where to look if it disappeared from this forum.

Have fun waking up that early... :D

It's a good thing you posted here first, too, or else you wouldn't have gotten any replies by 5 AM tomorrow!

it JUST re-opened when i was there last summer, and it had a 3 hour wait, so I didn't get on it. my buddy did though, and he said it was really cool. a few different effects and new speakers in all the rockets. if you got the time, don't miss it like i did!
