going in oct

I'm finally going back after last going ten years ago. This time I get to experience the magic with my wife and six year old daughter. Is early oct ( 2nd -6th) a good time to vist? How are the crowds and what are the hours for this time of the year?

I am also going around that time (3rd - 8th). I was told by numerous people on this site and friends and family that it isnt really crowded then. It was the main reason for picking October. The park hours are shorter and Spectro Magic and Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks arent done every night, but I'm sure you'll get to see it one of the days you are down there. Which hotel are you staying at? We are staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort for the first time and are very excited. Food for thought, you may want to get your six year old a coach. I know it seems like she is too big for one, but my daughter was six on our last trip and it was a necessity. I found it to be better to push her around then to listen to "My legs are tired" every two min. It really is alot of walking for tiny legs. I hope your trip is as fun as I hope mine will be.. Be sure to book Chef Mickey's..she will love it.

we're staying at the allstar movies. This is the first time that I will being staying on-site, so I'm not sure what to expect, but even all the planning has been exciting. We can't wait. Thanks for all of the great advice.
