For instance, the one you have posted in NEW MEMBERS CLICK HERE, the description is "posting rules, FAQs, and help documents". You want WDW RESORTS, RESTAURANTS, TRIP PLANNING, of which the description is "Ask those WDW Resort, Hotel, Restaurant and Park Trip Planning questions here. (Tickets prices, opening hours, crowd levels etc)". This is the appropriate forum for what you are asking about. The descriptions will help you know where to post.
I know you are new. I was once too and it took me some time to figure out where things go. You will figure it out too.
As for what you are asking, early October is a great time to visit. The temps are still pretty warm (usually warm enough for swimming still) and the crowds are at one of the lowest levels of the year.
Hours aren't as long as they are in the summer, due to less people and less daylight. Also, a few rides might be down for rehab (repairs) because it is a slow season after a peak season (summer) headed into another peak season (Thanksgiving and Chirstmas). This shouldn't be a reason to decide not to go in October.
October is a great time to go.
