As most of you know the past few weeks have been very difficult for my DW (mommyrom). Early in June her Father's illness became worse and we decided due to that fact we needed to cancel our trip and as expected our children were devastated but, had plenty of support for our Disney friends here and we did make the right decision. As the week went by he was called by God and the week became worse for my wife and children. His service was last Thursday and was the most wonderful service all in thanks to his daughter, my wife she is of course having a hard time and misses him terribly and I am here to support her through it all but still has a heart of gold and is why I love her so.
She has in her own wonderful way planned a return trip for our family to make up for the loss in June. We are going from November 8th to the 13th staying at Bonnet Creek and, as a topper will attend MVMCP on the 12th. Our youngest has never experienced WDW at Christmas or a MVMCP and for our other three children they can't wait to see the decorations again.
We are going to have our children send their grandfather a message to Heaven from the Magic Kingdom too. We are going to get a nice size clear Mickey balloon and have them each put a message on the balloon and release it by Cinderella Castle so that he knows they are there and still love and miss him. And I know he'll be smiling the whole time our family is there..

So sorry for the tough time you've been through lately. I Love the ballon tribute you've planned - I think it is a really nice thing for your children to be a part of.

So sorry for your loss. That is never easy. The balloon tribute is a really sweet idea. I'm sure their grandpa will be looking down on them with a big smile. God bless.

Prayers of comfort during your time of loss. So glad to hear that you are rebooked for a trip. Love the tribute idea. Remember, that those who we love never really leave us, they stay in our hearts and we carry them with us wherever we go. So take his memory with you and enjoy your time as he would want you to.

I am truly sorry for your family's loss. I lost my mother in January and it has been the hardest thing I've gone through. I love the balloon remembrance you have planned. Again, my deepest sympathy......

I'm so sorry for your loss, but what a nice tribute. I got misty reading about it. What a nice time to go and do all of this as well. We'll be arriving a couple of days after you depart. :) Hope it's an amazing trip and our thoughts and prayers to you and your family.

As I said in your earlier thread, my heart and prayers go out to your entire family. It's wonderful to hear that you'll all be going to Disney World again later on in the year and will be sending your wife's father a warm greeting from the entire family. I hope you all have a wonderful time and happy holidays in advance. :)
