Hi everyone,
Im going to WDW in July as a guest of someone who belongs to DVC. We are staying at the Beach Club Villas. Im very excited. My question is how do I buy tickets and dining now that I already have my resort? I have always booked thru the Disney Travel Co. as a package, so Im not sure how to do it this way. Thanks....

You can either talk to your friend who owns DVC to book it through Member Services for you or you can go online and do it yourself. Just order standalone tickets and then you will have them shipped to you (or picked up at the park) you can put put them on your KTTW cards when you get to the resort. The concierge will be able to do that for you. =) You can also book dining reservations on disneyworld.com. The only thing you must do through your friend is get the dining plan booked if you wish to do that. They must do that through member services. Hope that helps! =)

If you intend to purchase one of the Disney Dining Plans, it must go through your friend the DVC owner. The dining plan must be added to your reservation at least 48 hours prior to arrival and it must be paid for at the time it is added. You will have to coordinate exactly how to do that with your friend. You could do a 3-way call so you can provide your credit card number, purchase a Disney Gift Card in advance which will cover the entire cost or some similar means.

But all of the relevant points are non-negotiable:
1. Your friend (the DVC owner) MUST be involved in the call
2. The DDP MUST be added 2 days before arrival
3. You MUST pay at the time it's added

Regarding park tickets, DVC member services does not sell Magic Your Way passes. You simply purchase them on your own. You can go through Disney's website or shop around for a better deal. Many people use companies like Undercover Tourist or Maple Leaf Tickets.

We stayed as a DVC guest on our trip last month. Everything went great. The owner had to book the dining plan but did it on a three way call so that I could provide my payment information. I also bought my park tickets on Undercover Tourist and concierge was able to add the tickets directly to our key to the world cards.
