ok, so I just bought these 2 games for game cube and I love the Donald Duck game, but I thought mickey was aweful. The animation was great on both. In Goin Quakers, the levels are just basic run around and jump on enemies in a 3D envirionment, which is great. It's alot of fun, but Mickey Mouse and the Magic Mirror was an aweful game. All you do is use a pointer to point where you want mickey to go and look and that's about it... Anybody else have an opinion about either game?

the game looks great, although I don't know if a kingdom hearts for gamecube would ever come out because of the not so good terms between square and nintendo, in fact besids the gameboy advanced they only have 1 game coming out for the gamecube that still might not see the light of day. I think kingdom hearts is coming to the PC also I heard someone mention it on one of these boards. so you could pick it up for the pc.

Mickey's Magic Mirror is a good rental and a good purchase for younger gamers. It's mostly an old-style adventure game in the vein of Monkey Island or Maniac Mansion (only toned down in difficulty and complexity).

Kingdom Hearts is only coming out for the PS2 and is not slated to be released on any other systems or the PC. I asked my contact at Square and she said there are no plans for any type of port. I also think the newest OPM (with KH on the cover) has the director of the game quoted as hinting that there will be no ports.

The only talks going on about the future of the KH franchise is that there may be either a cartoon series, movie (direct to video most likely), or amusment park attraction based on the game. There is also a line of KH toys coming out later this year.

As for the Square/Nintendo thing, you are correct in a way - but not 100%. True there is a Final Fantasy game coming out for Gamecube, but it's not in 'THE' Final Fantasy (meaning Final Fantasy I, II,...X) series. Instead it's called Crystal Cronicle and is based mostly on the Japanese Final Fantasy television series.
This is being developed by a studio that is an off-shoot of Square that is being funded by Nintendo.

Final Fantasy XII (which is the next Final Fantasy after XI) will be released on the PS2 since Sony now owns part of Square.

ok... I've done a bit of my own research concerning both Goin' Quackers and Magicalr Mirror, and I cannot say that I was in the least bit impressed by either game.

Goin' Quackers has a very straight-forward feel to it with the most annoying repetitive sounds. I loved the backgrounds, but think they could have spent more time on the characters directly. But then again I've been encapsulated by such greats as FFX and other greatly produced games (try SOCOM, it's a blast... but not Disney... so le's get back onto the topic, eh?)...

As for Magical Mirror... nicely done with the graphics but the controls are horrible. I do not feel like having to move a hand and clicking in order to move my character from place to place. I did like the various facial expressions that Mickey had throughout the game, but again... not my style of game... :)

Well, I've heard it's pretty easy, like kid oriented... Maybe you should rent it first?

But it's $6 just to rent it... and Nicholas is getting older, and I love Disney, so I think it'd be better to buy it for the price of three rentals rather then add another $6 on the price if I rent first and then buy it, don't you agree?

Well, good points. I say do it! Lil' Nicky's first game should be one of The Mouse!
