I had an idea for Walt Disney World to make a Godzilla thrill ride. I believe Walt Disney World, Florida should make it.
The idea is similar to a combination of Star Tours and a few roller coaster elements(but not to the point of puking), and features 4-D action, such as hot air and fog generating the illusion of an explosion or Godzilla's atomic breath.
Each ride vehicle seats twelve riders in three rows of four. Each row of riders is restrained by a single lapbar. The ride vehicles are modelled after a military helicopter.
Each vehicle is mounted to a track-roaming platform that provides the forward motion to move the vehicle through each show scene. The vehicle is capable of moving 360 degrees and different angles thanks to the yaw motor and the six DOF motors attaching it to the platform. During the more fast-paced scenes, the ride can move at 58 mph. Each vehicle is outfitted with a motor that controls the right side door where guests board and dismount the ride vehicle.
While you're waiting in line to get on, you can occupy your time by watching a video explaining how classic monster movies were brought to life, and it mentions movies like King Kong(1933), Godzilla(1954), Rodan(1956) and Jaws(1975).
The premise is that it begins with a video showing U.S. military trying recruit soldiers to fight Godzilla, who is attacking the city and they recruit you and and you have to get in one of the helicopter vehicles and the ride begins and you see Godzilla attack the city from helicopter point of view as the ride moves on. Suddenly, Rodan and Mothra zoom past the helicopter(while Mothra gives out a powder effect at the riders) and fights Godzilla. Godzilla narrowly misses hitting the ride vehicle with his atomic breath. King Ghidorah shows up and attacks Godzila and Rodan. Rodan and Godzilla team up to fight King Ghidorah. After a battle, Ghidorah is defeated and Godzilla and Rodan return to Monster Island. Then the ride ends.
What do you think? Do you think Walt Disney World should make this ride?
Here's a picture I made combining 2 pictures to give you an idea in your head of what the ride would look like. Click the link to see it.
