Keep in mind though that is for learning purposes. They give you the program but don't give you the license to publish anything you create with it (at least thats how I remember it). Don't want anyone getting in trouble for putting images up on the internet that aren't legal. 
i only downloaded it so I could mess around with making 3d stuff

its also based off of the worst 3d program in creation (aside from Bryce and poser)..3dsmax..
your best bet is to get the free learning versions of maya (www.aliaswavefront.com) or XSI (www.softimage.com)...they are more "applicable" 3d programs which have a much less frustrating useability.
