Has anyone tried the Toms for Kids or the Tiny Toms? I was considering the glitter variety since it "could" make for comfy footwear that also goes well with princess dresses. i.e. instead of buying costume shoes, I can by something that works for costumes and school/everyday. Just wondering if anyone had any opinions on how the kids' versions wear and if they'd be a good choice for the parks.

i have a ton of adult ones that i love. they are great for everyday... also i have the sparkle ones that i love...i have them in a few different colors, and pink is my fav. the only thing is follow the cleaning directions to a t because they can be ruined so easily when being cleaned.

Good to hear a positive vote for the sparkly ones. I never really considered them until I saw the sparkly ones...imagine that! ;) I might even consider a pair for myself now since I can wear them on our casual days. I know my older one would love the pink ones and she has enough pink uniform shirts that I could totally justify it there...of course her princess dress for BBB is gold and turquoise, so those are my options for her. The younger one- hers is gold, ivory and lavender...so gold again.

If you are getting adult TOMS...be aware that they recommend you buy in 0.5-1 size smaller than what you would normally wear, since they stretch. You'll see this if you read reviews online...so they are not shoes you want to buy the day before you leave or anything. My glitter pair in particular took awhile to stretch out, but now they are super comfy! This might not be the case with the tiny TOMS since they fasten with velcro. :)

First off- you just saved me $8+tax :D THANK YOU!!! DD6 is tiny - her feet are right in between toddler and youth, but in light of this- I can buy the toddler version. I was thinking about starting the break-in process in the weeks leading up to Halloween (i.e. so they can wear them while trick or treating) so I'm hoping they'll be park ready by mid-Nov. We'll also have a stroller, so that will help. Thanks again! :)

No prob! Once they are ready to go they are super comfy...and bonus: TOMS donates a pair of shoes to a child that needs them for every pair they sell. :)

Honestly it's how your kids do in shoes when it comes to support in them. Hopefully since they're younger their joints aren't in bad shape or anything but do be ready for that blister on the back of the ankle from walking with no socks on or anything protecting the back of their foot and bring a backup or a lot of bandaids... or socks... if possible! Better be safe than sorry!

I will say, they are the cutest little things ever on the little ones especially who are wearing princess dresses!

I just figure they're better than the girls trying to wear costume shoes even part of the day in the park. I'll spare you the pics, but we went through the nasty blisters last trip w/a pair of Twinkletoes. Hopefully, after a month of wear they'll be park ready- and hopefully stroller time will help reduce blister odds. :)

Oh yeah, I actually don't own a pair of TOMS but own BOBs (sketchers ripoff. They were 5 bucks on clearance.) and they've got some support. The moral of the original post being this, as long as you are ready for that possible blister then thank you for wearing close toed shoes :)
