Giants.

This thread had to be started at some point once rumor or news began to surface. And I found something pretty interesting.

Around 26 seconds in, and I quote "We are a very small sample group of what might be happening in 2016" Now if I had to guess anything it's that after the success of frozen The execs want to catch that fairytale musical lightning in a bottle again. And since this film was already on their plate what better place to issue their new duo of oscar winning and money making songwriters. Now again this is me just guessing based off her claim, but it would make perfect sense to make Giant's a musical on the same scale of frozen. Thoughts?

Other sites were freaking out about this report thinking it was frozen 2 related. To clarify in case anyone thinks it is 2016 is still far too early for frozen 2 in theaters.

Perhaps something live action? Depending on how Into the Woods pans out...
If it was a live action film for disney it would have been on the schedule already. Im telling you it's gotta be giants. Disney would be crazy to not make them their new song writing duo much like howard and menken were.

What is Giants?
An upcoming animated film from disney, after big hero 6 beleive it's zootopia in march, then giants that fall. It's their next fairy tale film and it's based on jack and the bean stalk.

O Disney...why can't you call the fairy tales by their respective titles! Lol and I'm sure people will try and argue its because they want their films to appear "gender neutral", but Giants or Jack and the Bean Stalk don't make for very friendly movie titles that appeal to girls...lol

I think in part it's to avoid confusion with the recent live action Jack the Giant Slayer movie.

LOL I don't think anyone even remembers that movie let alone would get it confused with something else...it was terrible...

I'm pretty sure every kid that goes to school has heard of or read about Jack and the Beanstalk...no reason to change the title...

Well, from what I've heard about the story as it stands now (though it could change significantly) neither beanstalks nor giant-slaying play a big part in this. So, you'd just call it "Jack", and after that Robin Williams movie... *brrrr*

The animated film? giants? It focuses on jack and one giant working in tandem. at least that was the last version that of the story that was told by bleeding cool.

Yeah. That's what I heard too. A cabal of giants are essentially running a protection racket, and some humans and a rogue giant team up to give them what for.
