GF worth it?

I'm considering the GF for this year's trip but... boy, is it pricey! I was wondering if anyone's stayed at the GF and thought it was NOT worth the cost?

We're only two adults, no kids, if that makes a difference.

I've never stayed at GF, but my best friends went to Disney for their honeymoon 4 months ago and stayed at GF. They absolutely loved it. They had been to Disney before and stayed at Caribbean Beach one time and Boardwalk one time. They said GF is now their favorite resort. They loved the theming and thought it was a bit more quiet than the other resorts. I know for them, it was worth the price.

Probably not the most accurate thing to say, but I have heard the GF is the most Touristy. Meaning you get alot more people there who are really into picture taking. I have not seen it myself, and I don't think the guests at that pricey a resort would care for my kids running around and having fun. In short, more of an adult haven with lots of photo ops? Again...just what I heard.

I have stayed there the last time I visited and must say it is absolutly beautiful! They many places that you may visit such as just laying on the beach or just lying by the pool. The rooms are very nice and a bit more spacious then other resorts I have stayed at! I would definatly recommend it but the price is really a thing based on the indvidual!

GF = Grand Floridian Resort. It's one of the monorail resorts.


I've never stayed there. Very pretty, but it does seem less kid.

You will love it! We have stayed there the last couple trips. Can't go wrong with Victorian themeing. The spa is very nice if you choose to partake in that. The restaurants are top notch as well (some of them such as Victoria and Albert's require formal dress). Plus, who can't beat having the MK only one stop from your hotel? It's perfect. Like everyone else has said, it's worth every penny.

Oh yes... the pina colada and the strawberry daquri at the pool's bar are delicious! :slurp:
