I've booked many vacations for Disney and in the past I've received my Disney reseravtions in the mail after paying the first deposit for the room. My question is, i've booked a package deal this time (which i've done before) and i pay the final payment this week. Will I receive my reservations in the mail after paying off my " vacation package"? I'm hoping so. Can anyone help?

vacation package documents

You did'nt state specifically, but I'm assuming you made your arrangements through Disney Travel.

I booked my upcoming trip on 4/29/2006 and paid in full at that time. I recieved the trip package sometime around mid-June.

Here's what it says in my documentation.

Documents will be mailed appoximately 40 days prior to arrival ( after receipt of final payment). Airfares which must be ticketed more than 45 days prior to departure will be mailed immediately after payment of that component of your package.

You may review and retrieve your reservation online anytime in the My Disney Vacation section of the site using your confirmation number.

We're going the week of 11/25 through 12/2 and can hardly wait. Already counting days !!

Hope you enjoy your trip !!

I booked my trip last April in February and recieved my reservation confirmation in the mail well before I made My final payment. That is if we're talking about the piece of paper they send you listing your ressie info only not the luggage tags and vouchers and all that. That stuff came later like a few weeks before we left.

I thought I read in a previous thread (but cannot seem to find) that Disney was not going to send as much paperwork out. I always book directly through Disney -- in the past, every time I would make a change or a payment or whatever, they would send me a confirmation letter. I thought I read that they are now only send initial confirmation (which I received about a month after booking for this year), and then the final documents prior to travel. Maybe others can clarify -- I know this year, I made several incremental payments and also a few changes over time to the reservation. These always showed up on the My Vacation on Disneyworld.com, but only received the initial paper confirmation. Probably trying to reduce paper and expense with mailing so much would be my guess.

Every time I made any change to my April 2006 reservation for an August 2006 trip, however minor (9 or 10 day tickets, expriy or non-expiry option, whatever), they sent me new paperwork in the mail. The US Postal Service would collapse without Disney.
