Getting from WDW to Universal

I will be at WDW from July 24th thru August 8th. For the first 8 days I will be with my family and we will have acar, but they have no intention of going there at all...For the last 7 days I will be by myself without a car, and i acually have a 2 day ticket with one day left over from my last trip and I wanted to go there one of the days after they leave. My question is, ovbisouly Disney just doesn't have a bus that can will take you to its competetors park, so I wanted to know if there are any other ways to get from Disney to Universal, or would i have to pay a really expensive cab fare, which probably wouldn't really be worth it. yourride transporation will take you 1-866-240-7433, payless will, www.paylesstransportation.com and Mears... I think Mears it the most expensive, but the other two are about the same price which will probably be about $50. I investigated this whole thing for when I am down there Jul. 29 to Aug. 7... it works better for me to rent a car though, so that's what I finally did! Good luck with your plans!

Just a suggestion: Is it possible to take a shuttle to a nearby off site hotel and then another shuttle to Univ./IA?

try cheking out http://www.golynx.com and look for route you can take to get from disney to universal. There is also a link on the site to tell you all the prices and routes. Hope this helps.
