Getting from Coronado Springs to Disneys Yacht Club

I have just booked the disney firework cruise for our first night in Disney. However we arrive at Coronado Springs resort around 5/6pm after our flight and transfer to hotel. I need some major help with getting to the yacht Club from CS resort. Is it just the disney buses that do it or is there any other way of getting there.

Plus will two hours be enough to check in drop bags off and get to require location for the cruise??

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks guys and gals

Thanks. Do cabs operate from the resorts often as was hoping to go there directly as it will be a surprise for my girlfriend.

Thanks

As a Coronado-er I must say that unless you have a car the buses are your primary source of transportation to anywhere else in the world.
Do you mean in the lobby into the cruise? If you take the magical bus there from the Coronado the airport your bags are already 'checked in' I have no recollection of even needing to check in bags, get a sticker before loading the bus that states your room and floor. From the airport the line is usually short so, 2 hours should do the trick to get on the bus and be there. The ride there is a good hour or more so there may be some rush, but as long as you are in the lobby ready to go, you will get on it nice nice fine. The ship won't sail till 3 or so anyways, which I was lucky to be on the aquaduck right at the moment it began to move. Have fun! Your trip mimics ours last year!

Hi. Cabs do operate from the hotels and that would be your quickest way to get between the two hotels. My family stayed at Coronado Springs last year and you will enjoy it, if you haven't stayed there before. Have you factored in possible flight delays into your first day plans? Hope you have a great trip!

Thanks that's all very helpful. I think we will get to the resort around 5pm so three hours will be enough time I hope to sort everything out and get there in time. The person I booked it through said we had to get to the Yacht Club by 8pm and the boat leaves at 8.30. So think a cab direct there will be best.

P.S what's coronado springs like I've heard such mixed reviews

Thanks again guys

I think it lands local time 3.30pm ish. After thinking about it its quite a push for time but my girlfriend has planned our whole trip and this is the only free night to do it.

That should be plenty of time. We liked CS. It is big and depending on your room location, it can be a bit of a walk to get to the lobby or to eat, but my family didn't mind the walk. We thought the lake was pretty and loved the main pool. It did have a business feel, as it's a convention hotel. So you might see people in casual business attire networking at the bar, rather than just seeing people purely vacationing. The room was very clean and I loved the wooden doors that are between the sink and bed area. The staff was very friendly in our experience. Have a magical trip!

That's good to hear. Fingers crossed it all goes to plan - flight on time, quick to get to the hotel and then to the yacht club otherwise my proposal plan will go out the window!!

You could always let the hotel know that this is a very special proposal trip prior to check-in. You never know what magic they can send your way for an extra special holiday experience.:)

Also if anyone can help with this. I our flight lands at 3.25 what's the normal time to grab your bags an get through security etc?? We are flying from London so its an international flight. Just want to make sure we have enough time to get to our cruise

Sorry, I am of no help with International Flights. For domestic, I usually deplane, pick up my luggage, and get a rental car within 30 minutes or so.

It's already been said but without a rental car or taking a cab, your only choice would to be to take a bus to DTD and then from there one to Yacht Club

Never use the DtD bus to get to other resorts. It will take too long. Use the bus to DHS and then hop on the friendship boat to the Y&BC. Cabs are the easiest option and it only cost around 7 to 8 dollars plus tip.
