Far be it from me to get involved in a banned political debate or restart a closed thread, but.....

Just a point of order on that photo, I assume that the humour is derived from the binos appearing to have caps on?

Well that would be funny unless the were of the type that intensify available light, they are primarily used at night, however they can be used during the day, there is a small hole in the lens caps that limits the amount of light entering the equipment. If you switch them on during the day without the caps on you the equipment. So if using it properly is a crime then GW is guilty.

Looking at the second set of pictures there does appear to be a switch on the front of the binos. I know with night sights ive used that they will only work when switched on, so may be?? but perhaps its the obvious hes been handed them capped up.

After 22 years as a phot id hate to admit how many times ive gone to take a shot and still had the lens cap on:animwink:

After 33 years of being involved in amateur photography in one level or another, I hate to admit how many really great pictures were never captured because I forget to check on A) film in the camera B) film advancing properly.
