Genie+ "Sell-Through": DLR vs WDW

Hi folks! I'm a long-time visitor of WDW, but I'm going to Disneyland for the first time ever (!) next week. I saw someone mention in a video that Genie+ reservations "sell through" much slower at DLR than they do in WDW.

Could anyone confirm that, or share any personal experience? Just wondering if we need to rope drop every day so we can make immediate Genie+ and ILL reservations, or if we can sleep in a bit and still get to take great advantage of the systems.

(Note: Sounds like Rise is the most popular Individual Lightning Lane ride. If we don't get to ride it, no big deal -- we've ridden it a ton at WDW.)

From personal experience (both using and just observing) it is true that DL's Genie+ reservations are nearly always available for every attraction. The only one (like you mentioned) that sells out often is Rise of the Resistance. You shouldn't have a problem taking full advantage of Genie+ at DL if you arrive later in the day (11am-12pm).

Rise information regarding standby and Genie+:
In terms of Rise of the Resistance, I also believe they sell less Genie+ ILL compared to WDW, so the standby line is usually way more manageable here than at WDW. Just for rough comparison (which leaves out a lot of variables), one day I went to DHS and got in the standby line at 1pm and waited for 3h38m with no downtime reported. I did the same thing at DL near the same holiday and I waited 56 minutes (with nearly the same length in queue, I might add). Obviously this is just speculation, but I believe Rise is much more manageable at DL.

When I was at DL in January I bought Genie + and didn't even start making reservations until the afternoon since lines were fairly short in the morning and all the return times were almost immediate. I also purchased Rise of the Resistance later in the day with no issue.

Yeah, Rise has still been relatively easy to get. This past weekend (president's weekend) was a different story. It has been selling out much earlier than normal.
